Skiing Tips

The following tips will allow you to get the most enjoyment out of your skiing day and avoid some pitfalls. Enjoy and have a great day of skiing!

1. Warm up on the easy or beginner hills. Vary your turns and play with your speed by changing your rhythm. This will ease your body into the demands of skiing. Follow this by some light stretching.

2. Take short breaks to hydrate your body with some water or juice every 60-90 minutes.

3. Fuel your body every few hours with snacks you can easily carry in your pocket like power or granola bars, nuts, dried fruit, etc.

4. Wear layers of clothing with breathable materials.

5. Wear proper accessories to protect you from the elements such as wind and cold. These include goggles, face protection, neck warmer, proper ski gloves, hot shots for hands and toes, helmet, etc.
